Details

Discover stories from Queen Victoria’s life in her own words, as queen, wife and mother in the Victoria Revealed exhibition, told through extracts from her own letters and diaries. Follow in the footsteps of courtiers from the past in the sumptuous King’s State Apartments which show some breathtaking examples of the work of architect and painter William Kent, such as the Cupola Room and King’s Grand Staircase. Explore the intimate Queen’s State Apartments which lift the curtain on the lives of William III, Mary II, Queen Anne and Anne’s little son William, the last member of the Stuart dynasty.

Explore the new landscaped gardens, inspired by the famous lawns that existed in the 18th Century, relax in the wild flower meadow and stroll down the Wiggly Walk. Discover the majestic, 17th Century inspired, Sunken Garden and wander through the restored Cradle Walk offering unmatched views of the palace and gardens.

Spoil yourself and enjoy a leisurely lunch or an indulgent afternoon tea while you admire the tranquil splendour of Queen Anne’s Orangery, once the setting for the most lavish of court entertainments.

Spend time in the new free visitor rooms, browse through our elegant shops, and if you are feeling peckish, grab a tasty snack from the new Palace Café.
